A wedding card for a new couple

Last night, my husband and I attended a wedding of one of my friends. I should say it was a very entertaining and beautiful reception. Congratulations Merly & Funa!!

Here's the card I created for them. :)

Sorry...

Hi Everyone! Sorry there hasn't been much posting for the last couple weeks...i think the last one was right before the HNL regionals. *sigh* I've been SUPER busy with trying to clean up around the house and putting things aside for my garage sale coming up. I'll be selling a bunch of scrapbooking supplies, rubber/clear stamps, some SU products (retired), storages, and other stuff laying around the house for the dust to sleep on! HAHA!

Besides all the junk around the house, it was my hubby's birthday on March 3rd...and we've been busy trying to gather things for camp this weekend...hopefully the weather will be nice to us...and that the rain will go away! :( But i'm sure we'll still manage to have lots of fun! We always do!

I haven't found the time to edit my pictures to post too! AHHHHHH! so much to do...i feel like it'll never end! Hopefully after this weekend, i'll be back to doing a little more blogging and creating.

Thanks for looking around my blog though! I appreciate it! :) Take care and have a safe upcoming weekend!

Thank You Aileen!

Gosh...i've posted a bunch of stuff today did't I? I should be getting ready soon to go the Boyz 2 Men concert....I haven't even figured out what to wear tonight!! AHHH!! Well, just a last one for today. I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day with their loved ones.

ANYWAYS...

Here's a card I made for one of my GF's Aileen. She gave me a birthday gift last week, & here's my thank you card to her! The stamp is from one of SU!'s new single stamps. Embellished with the dew drops (my new favorite emebelly), along with a ribbon & bazzill flower with a bling brad in the middle of it!

Bridal Shower Favor

My friend Lei, emailed me and asked if I could do her a favor of making bridal shower favors for her best friend's surprise bridal shower. So I said sure! She told me her colors were pink and brown (2 of my favorite colors!)...so here it is!

I used the Sizzix XL die cut - Shaker Box to make the favor (per her request). Then I decorated the outside using the new embossing folders by Sizzix (Bridal Shower). For the brown background, I also embossed it using the Cuttlebug (swiss dots) embossing folder, and then added a ribbon for a touch of elegance. Something simple and easy to do! Enjoy!

Valentine's Day card from one of my GF's

Here's a Valentine's Day card that one of my gf's made for me & my hubby. And we received it today for Valentine's Day!! How thoughtful of her! Thanks sis!!

HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY!!

Here's a card I created as a sample for our (Lynn & I) class in January. Theme was Valentine' Day.

My first OCS...

Linda & I had decided to do valentine's day card swap. I received mines yesterday, and I only sent mines out yesterday (my bad! hehe). Here's the OCS card she sent...isn't it lovely?! Thanks Linda! I already mailed yours out, but not sure if you got it yet. So I won't post my OCS card til' next week (after Linda receives it).

Blah...

Well 4 more days til' Valentines Day! I think i'm just about red & pinked out for valentine's day cards...but don't get me wrong...I LOVE PINK!!!! Speaking of which, I still need to finish up Linda's card to send out...ACK!! I just need to add a pinch of sweetness to it...hehe. Hopefully I can get it out in the mail by tomorrow!! Sorry Linda! You'll get it real soon. (I hope)

Anyways...my husband tried to surprise me today by purchasing tickets to the BOYZ II MEN concert coming up on Valentines Day at the NBC Arena. That should be fun! Anyways, he "TRIED" to surprise me, but like I told him before, it's hard to surprise me because I eventually find out before things happen. He just gotta try harder i guess...OOPS! Sorry hubby for ruining your surpise for my valentines...LOL!! Love you for trying hard!!

Anyways, we headed out to the box office at the NBC to purchase the tickets, and man did we spend money for that! I'm hoping that the seats we have are good seats...its in the lower part of the upper level balcony (the one with 2 rows only) close the stage. No one's in front of us so I won't have to worry about tippy toe'ing or windshield wiping my head side to side just to enjoy the concert..hehe. That's the disadvantage of being a shorty...hehe.

Well enough about that....I purchased another clear stamp set today from Inkadinkado called "Kids Quotts" from Scrapbook Heaven...I just had to get it, its so adorable! You'll see...its quotes that kids had made, and Inkadinkado geniously turned it into a clear stamp set! I'll post the pix up of the stamp set tomorrow! Til' then, GOOD NIGHT!!!

Stamp Pad Storage

I woke up this morning, opened up the front door, & found a big USPS box sitting outside my door! I was so excited, because I knew it was my order from Scrapook.com! Last week, I was browsing around online for some storage solution for my limited "craft" room space. I'm always tempted to buy the SU Color Caddy, but always thought to myself to budget & spend wisely. I'm also in process of re-arranging and down-sizing my "craft room". I'll probably end up selling some of my craft stuff that are new and slightly used. I'll post up more info later if I decide to sell some things.

Anyways...to cut to the chase, I found me a workable Stamp Pad Storage solution! I found it on Scrapbook.com & it's called the Poratink Standard Case from Best Craft Organzier . They also have the Portaink Dual Swivel Traveler from Best Craft Organzier. It is very similar to the SU's Color Caddy. The Stampin' Pad fits perfectly inside! There's also a storage area on top for the ink refills, etc. If you have other stamp pads such as Versa Mark, Brilliance, Staz On, etc. --there's a standard ink pad insert that you can purchase sepeartly (if desired) -- and because they're smaller than the Stampin' Pad, you can put the inserts in the case so that the ink pad doesn't go all the way in the back where you can't get it out.

I couldnt wait to put my new storage to use...so here it is!!

Baby Shower...

I crafted this plastic baby bottle bank for my friend Marcy's baby shower a few months back...i almost didnt want to give it to her...i wanted to keep it for myself! I used the Sizzix Hello Kitty die & embossing folder "swiss dots" from cuttlebug. I just stuffed the bottle with buttermint candies, and used to play one of the baby shower games.

This is the card i gave to her for her baby shower. I also used the Cuttlebug embossing folders & Stampin' Up products.

My Very 1st Blog Post

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd try out this blogging thing that everyone seems to be doing now days. Since i've been working on a lot more of my "stamping" skills, I decided to create this blog, and I hope it'll be a successful one in the end. It may not be something fancy yet, but i can assure you that as the time goes by...it just might be one of the best blogs ever! HAHA! Who am I joking? I'm still learning how to work this blog site day by day, and i can tell ya that i'm doing pretty good so far...aren't I?

My purpose of this blog is to show what I do and what i enjoy doing during my spare time -- rubber stamping, paper crafting, scrapbooking and party invites & favor making! Maybe I'll add a lil' of my daily life stories once in a while. Feel free to comment or email me on pointers for making my blog a better place for you to visit constantly!

Any-hoo's...I am an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin' Up for about a year now, and i've been in love with the world for stamping for about 4 years.

On January 19 the new Spring-Summer 2009 catalog for Stampin' Up came out, and i can tell you now...that I LOVE EVERYTHING in the catalog from the stamp sets, to the papers, and accessories...I LOVE THEM ALL!! You should see my wishlist of what i want!! I practically listed almost everything in the catalog.

To get a copy of the catalog, contact me at the email provided on my blog, and i'd be happy to send you one. Or if you're as anxious as I am, you can view & shop on my online site 24/7 here --> {Penny's Stampin' Up}

Usually once a month, my friend Lynn & I round up some friends and their friends to do a rubber stampin' class to show you some of the Stampin' Up! products and what we can do with it. Sometimes we'll throw in a bonus from other products other than Stampin' Up. We can demonstrate to you with a whole variety of techniques, color coordinations, etc. Maybe you could join us in our next class. I'll keep you posted.
